Hi there
I am having trouble viewing only some mpeg's on a dvd. (Some of them I am viewing no problem, and they still say they are mpeg) Can anyone tell me why, on only some, it comes up with a message saying "Couldn't open the file named '.... .mpg' because it is not a file that QuickTime understands. I have a mac. Does anyone know what I have to download in order to view this? (Incidentally I have already tried putting in .mov instead and it hasn't worked)

Any techie help would be much appreciated, thanks x

They are probably not 'real' mpegs and quicktime doesn't have the correct codec installed, you might be able to download it but you'd have to find out which one you needed first!

I normally use VLC for viewing stuff that I don't have QT codecs for, you can download it here, it's free.
