Hi, we have a second hand Sky box we use for freesat. Trying to access channel 5 by putting in frequency etc. but it asks for our pin! Have tried 1111 and last four digits of the serial number on the box but no joy.
Can't use the Sky service as we are in France and have no phone connection.
Any ideas?

Do you have someone in the UK that can access the Sky website for you and reset the pin?In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0

The PIN is the last 4 digits on the viewing card.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0

Sorry there is NO viewing card, this is not required for freesat. We can get all the main channels except Channel 5 which needs putting in manually with frequencies etc. I have done this lots of times on various boxes but this one will not let me do it without a pin!
Can access the Sky website from here but that requires the box to be connected to a UK landline to reset the password! AAARRRGGGG!0 -
Sounds like the only option you have is to speak to the person you bought the box from and ask them for the PIN.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0
