Does your fiance work?“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

Stop worrying, so long as you have I.D like a passport or driving licence you will be fine. Get your post sorted though, so things all come to your new address now that you have settled in.
and just explain to the visitor that you are in the process of informing all companies of your change of address. They are not the enemy they just want to confirm you are who you say you are and you are entitled to what you are claiming for. As you had no problems before, you are unlikely to have any problems this time.
As others said, get any information you can together, and anything that is missing you can forward on afterwards.:EasterBun

My fiances stuff is in his dads garage which is 40 miles away and as they've given us short notice that's what's made it difficult. Yes his bank has online banking and he is willing to show them any printouts they want but they won't prove is ID will they?
I was only trying to help.
They will show all his income & expenditure though.
Doesn't he have a driving licence or pasport he could use as ID?I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Something is up otherwise they wouldn't be sending a customer compliance officer round
My guess is that it has something to do with the appointeeship, you have changed address and are no longer living with your old appointee. The DWP have a duty of care and will probably want to interview the new appointee to make sure they are fit and able to do so.
Call me nosey but are you sure you really need appointee, as far as I remember the idea or a appointee is to act for somebody who cannot act for themselves. You can post on a forum so if I was a Compliance officer I would be asking is a appointeeship necessary. For all they know your fiance could be right nasty piece of work who mistreats vulnerable people and steals all their benefits (though I am sure he is really nice)

When I first separated from my ex, many moons ago, I applied for IS and they sent someone round then. They said it was standard procedure with all new claims, I never thought anything of it TBH.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0
