Fiat car warranty, clutch

Look up EU Directive 1999/44/EC - that's the one you need. Write to Fiat asking them to satisfy your rights and comply with their obligations under this Directive.
It is currently in the process of gettng me a new £6500 engine for my out-of-warranty 3 year old Nissan and approx £2000 of car hire from the day my car broke down to the day when I get it back.
I wrote to Nissan giving them 14 days Notice of (Small Claims Court) Action and they keeled over immediately.0 -
Unfortunately, while he didn't phrase it well, pickaname has a point... they must get LOADS of claims of shagged clutches from people who have been "driving for years" and thus they are reluctant to repair a wear-and-tear part under warranty.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0

Will not be buying from this place again! Big companies need to be brought down a peg or two, if they think they can get away with treating people like this.
Start quoting that gibberish and they will realise you don't know anything about law and how the Directive has been implemented into English domestic legislation.0 -
Withabix's case is in EIRE eo relevant but not here. SOGA applys and whilst it could apply the OP would need to prove the clutch failed due to a manufacturer issue and not misuse.0

They must make rubbish cars these days. My 18 year old car has done nearly 100k and still on the original clutch.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

We do like stroppy people who throw their toys out of the pram at a nano seconds notice.
This'll learn you for buying a Fiat! I struggle to understand how you thought it was ever going to be a nice reliable car.
Hope it costs a pretty packet.
