Connecting TV to Computer

Hi Folks
I currently connect my computer to my TV using the VGA ports at both ends.
I have a VGA port and a HDMI port on my TV and a VGA port and DVI port on my computer graphics card.
My question is this! If I purchase a graphics card with a HDMI port will I then be able to connect the computer to the TV using the HDMI ports?
Thanks

Supplementary question!
Would be grateful if you could tell me if there is a significant improvement in graphics display when using the HDMI ports rather than the VGA?0 -
The picture quality should be slightly better.
Incidentally, you should be able to use a DVI to HDMI cable with your existing card - the digital signal format is compatible, though you will need a separate connection for sound, as DVI does not carry that.0 -

Thanks fwor I was wondering about the DVI/HDMI connection possibilities. I do use a separate connection for sound, at present.
Well worth considering before I purchase a new card.0
