How come other sellers can charge more postage than me?

I wasn't directing my irony at you Orkney it was just a tongue in cheek dig at ebay.
People list at 99p simply because it's 'free' but the chances are that that is all they will get and you can't seem to get that through to them either, which is why other listings on here and on the ebay community pages are full of comments about people having their purchases cancelled or sellers moaning that they haven't got enough for their items.0 -
Yeah I agree with your last paragraph.fridayschild wrote: »I wasn't directing my irony at you Orkney it was just a tongue in cheek dig at ebay.

I often list at 99p, either when I would be happy for it to go for that (eg a childs t-shirt in great condition but a generic make eg George, Cherokee, M and Co) or when I am sure it might go for a lot more (eg Next stuff in VGC). In the second case, even if I am slightly miffed it it does not make more I accept that is the risk I took!
If I think 99p would not be an acceptable price then I list at a higher start! It is annoying when people cancel just because they were not happy with final price- put a higher start then or accept it is not worth what you think it is!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

yes, that's the long version. :T

.
You can choose courier but realistically I don't think you are going to get a courier for less than about £5-£6, which makes RM cheaper. If you state courier then you must use it and that will make your box set look more expensive than on Amazon or Play brand new.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks, seeing as I live in the Northern Isles a courier is not really an option (well unless I want to remortgage!).You can choose courier but realistically I don't think you are going to get a courier for less than about £5-£6, which makes RM cheaper.
