Black Knight Associates cases? are they stil going?

Hi,

I have a case with these people i havebeen reading through the forum and another member says that a man called Terry Lindon is a director there i think or chairman? I googled his name and it says he has been charged with fraud for one of his old companies, do you think i should pull my claim out as this all seems very sketchy to me and i think i have learnt enough reading through this site to progress on my own.

the article i read is on the liverpool echo i cant post a link to it as im new but maybe someone else will post it for me

What a shocker for you :eek: and anyone else dealing with this company.

Personally yes I would pull out, but get some advice as soon as possible, I'm sure you will receive some advice on this, but meanwhile as well contact the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) who may also advise on your best action, here:

And if you have a go yourself, with help from this site, its all free, you also get to keep what is rightfully yours of your PPI refund.

Thanks alot for the advise, i think i am going to withdraw my case from them, i do not want any of my documentation to be within reach of anyone accused let alone charged with fraud!

I am in the process of trying to find out exactly what the state of play with the company is, and what i need to do to get my documentation back from them, i will update as i go along to try to help others in the situation that i have found myself in due to this.

And how do you know that this person that states that Terry Lindon is a director is actually telling the truth and how do you know this Terry Lindon was actually charged with fraud?? If you have a case with Black Knight (although we were led to believe that Black Knight was a DIY company that offered just the download of a complaints procedure for a small fee) then how did your case get there? Was it passed from another company to them?

In fact I have just checked the Black Knight Associates website and it says that you can download their software to claim your PPI yourself. Nothing about them accepting cases at all? They seem to just sell a one off package to do your own PPI claim?? It actually says

Why pay hundreds to a solicitor or claims management company when you can DIY?

Are you saying they are dealing with the complaints themselves?

Just googled and it is correct that the above named has been charged with fraud but I have no idea how anyone would confirm that he was anything to do with Black Knight Associates?

Have you just tried to ring them or write to ask for the documentation back? Have you paid upfront or signed anything with them or was it passed from another company without your agreement to this? usually you would be able to get your documents back unless you have been assigned a solicitor and agreed to let them act like the Loancheck cases although people there are getting somewhere from posts on here in getting their documents back.

I know Terry lindon works for black knight as i too thought i cannot take the word of an internet poster as gospel so i rang and asked them

Also my case was transfered to them via another company, allthough looking through my notes and correspondance the same people work for black knight as they did the old company, so yes black knight very much or at least did accept cases and run cases (my case was transfered to them around 8 months ago)

If the company now just sells a self help software package would you want to buy that knowing that Mr Lindon was previously accused of fraud in his old IT company (google search found this)

This all seems very dodgey to me i have sent the letter requesting all my documentation back on friday, i will update as i learn more

When you say about the same people work there as the "old" company who do you actually mean by old company?

I really do think that lots of people run companies that are capable of corruption and life is full of corrupt people in high places (government above all lol). If however you feel that a company is going to do something to your documents then get them back and do the claims yourself if you can.

As regards buying the data from Black Knight then yes I would have probably done this (I would never use a claims company) if I had claims but I would not have been on internet sites to find all this out like is posted on this site. I googled this and it seemed like it was just a complete Do it yourself claim pack. If I had downloaded it, it would be purely because I did not have time to come online and find all out from places like here. I DID think it was a good idea, I must admit as it was similar to this site and sometimes people can get misled on sites like this by people (mostly unintentionally) and time can be wasted. If I had been busy I would have liked a complete pack I could go through at my leisure. Would I buy it knowing that this Terry Lindon was behind it? I don't know what the man is accused of other than "fraud" and also do not know the ins and outs of the case but most likely not if what you say is true but I have no idea really how true what you are saying is do I???? Have you got solid evidence that Terry Lindon works for this company?

I have been emailed by a previous employee of the company who tells me they were let go 2 or 3 weeks ago, paid up until the end of the month and they tell me that the main investors behind black knight are pulling out due to the recent charging of Mr Lindon, who they confirm does work there. Also when i called and asked they were open in the fact that he did work there and was part of the upper management, as per my previous post. My aim is not to prove that he does or doesnt my arguement is not personal with him, i am sure he will get what is due to him in good time if the accusations are true. My point is clearly to state that all the evidence points to the fact he is involved, in a company that will take your hard earned cash and do nothing to assit you. I am pulling my case out of this company, and i simply wanted to post what i had found out on here to maybe assist others. Perhaps it is all he said she said tit for tat nonsense and i wll have egg on my face when black knight settle someones case, or perhaps i am right but that is for each person to decide for themselves.

Also in answer to your above question by old company i meant the company my claim was first being processed by (loancheck), i then noticed that i was talking to the same people i was talking to at loancheck about my case that is now with black knight. And further to that sent a response to a query in relation to my case to an address one office number differnent, in exactly the same address that the loancheck offices were at (more than just a coincidence i think)

Again i am not here to try to cause any trouble or embark on any kind of crusade against either company, i simply want to share my thoughts and see if it is just me or whether more people think that somethink stinks here.
