Yale Key Cutting

I hope this is the right place..........

My flatmate has lost her front door keys. We have a spare key for the porch door, but not for the main front door.

I've had problems in the past getting Yale Keys cut, but is it possible to get them cut these days?

I'm a little mad at her for losing them, even though I shouldn't be as she didn't do it deliberately!

But now gonna have to double up on security as I don't know who could have them!

D'oh! She has found them, the plank!

Still, would be interested in a response as to whether yale keys can be cut, and what I should expect to pay.........think we need a spare!

Yes you can get copies cut at loads of places, shoe repair shops etc, local market stall. Timpsons shops inside Morrisons etc etc

If it is a rented flat then it may be a security key. These are a little more difficult to get hold of, but should still be possible. Try Timpsons. I found them to be expensive but able to cut almost anything (we are going back a few years). Check on your key to see if there is a phone number to order replacements.
