    They're only about £20 to buy a Sealey one. Then you don't have to worry about getting it back to the hire shop on time if the job doesn't quite go as smoothly as expected (these things have a habit of taking longer than planned).

    Cripes, even Halfords sell valve spring compressors. They aren't expensive either....
