hi all

can anyone help me please i have been having ongoing problems with tesco the last 3 months with my food shopping the days of the shopping order most of the fresh stuff is up within that day or next day i placed complaints was told that a manger would spot check my next order there for place a order which came on the 29th may signed in pen all check by the manger once again 4 item was up on 29th and 2 on the 30th i email then recieved a call back on tuesday 1st from online saying they would contact the store and get back to me the dot.com manger at the store has just rang me in a threating manner shouting down the phone she sent out wot she had she cant change the dates how dare i contacted online again shes sick of my complaints ive not to place anymore orders as she wont be sending them again they also dont want my custom i was in total shock i called online asked to speak to a manger was told there nothing they can do as they cant override the store how can a manger get away with this :mad:

That barely made any sense (so I can see why the managers think you are a raving loony) but if you want to control the use by dates of your food, go to the shop yourself!

Some products sold will always have short dates on them. If you want longer dates go elsewhere or shop yourself.

Your rights are to shop elsewhere. It sounds like this would be a welcome solution for both of you.

Just a bit of advice, if you use a few punctuation marks and paragraphs, it makes it easier for people to read and more people will give helpful (or otherwise) comments. Some will have tried to read the above and not bothered as it is too much effort.

iamana1ias if i was not disabled and housebound shopping myself would not be a problem this is the only way i can get my weeks shoppings

If you shop with Ocado they guarantee the sell by dates on their website, usually 3 or 4 days for salads. Mind you they are dearer.
