Searches on your credit file. How many?

I believe I must have set some precedence around here. I have just racked up my 45th credit file search including the few from the CRA itself (Experian) on my quest at attaining current accounts and credit cards.

Any regulars here ever manage anything remotely close to that and still get their application approved?

Why have you that many?? You will find it VERY VERY hard to get approved for anything with that number of searches.

Well cifpower, I really wanted to build my credit profile. Yeah, I know how the credit game works patience is key and too many searches in a short period of time is bad. Mine being a little bit more than too many obviously. But I had nothing to lose since my credit file is basically like a clean slate pretty much near empty so I had to get something on there since waiting around wasn't really going to change anything.

Interesting thing was I got approval for a credit card with around 30 searches on my file albeit a low limit one which I'm quite happy to have.
