You still haven't said what OS you are running, more specific help can then be given.

Instead of trying to opening it in your e-mail program, save it to your desktop and then find the file, right click and choose open with.... Select Powerpoint Viewer and you're good to go.

Theoretically once the powerpoint viewer is installed you should be able to just double click the attachment to open it. Failing that as fitshase suggested:-

    > right click on the attachment
    > choose the 'save as' option
    > in the dialog that appears select the desktop option and click the ok/save button
    > go back to your desktop (a quick way is to hold the windows button on your keyboard and press 'd') and do as fitshase said

    :)

Right click the attachment, goto PROPERTIES, select OPENS WITH and CHANGE to the powerpoint program. APPLY and OK the action

Double clicking the file should now auto open the viewer for you to see it

    Well, you are getting warmer...
But which version-XP, Vista, or Windows 7?
No necesssary now, but when asking tecchie questions on here, your OS is the most important piece of info to supply.
    Glad you got it sorted.
