hi can anyone help for some reason my computer is not seeing my cd drive the other day it was working now when i go to my computer its not there any idears

use system restore to go back to when it last worked

it may have just lost it - go into control panel and add hardware - you can tell the PC to search for new hardware and it will then automatically install the drive - worked for my portables dvd driveTANSTAAFL !0

I assume you have restarted your computer without success? Daft question, but as any helpdesk technician will tell you it can solve many problems!
Also check that's it not a connection loose. Turn off your computer, open up and gently unplug the leads to the CD drive and plug them in again.
(You may not want to do this if it's under warranty and opening the case voids the warranty!)0 -
hi all ive gone to my control panel wehn to add new hardware and i get this toshiba dvd- rom sd r2312
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
