How to view Sky on 2 TVs (SAME channel) without extra multiroom??? Pls help

This is the situation:
We have a strange extension build. It's like 1 room, except it's got 2 floors. The top floor is open & is basically just for sleeping.
We're having Sky multiroom installed on Tuesday (hopefully) which means we'll be able to view Sky on the ground floor no problem (hopefully) £10 a month & all that jazz, so far so good...
Thing is, that means as the bed will be upstairs, we'll not be able to watch Sky (or TV) in bed (at the moment). Bit of a nuisance.
What i'd like to have is to view Sky upstairs. NOT a different channel to the one downstairs, but the SAME channel. Basically, downstairs wont even be getting watched as we'd be in bed.
Now, i can sort a PC monitor or laptop if that's required, but we'll have a 15" TV rendered useless by the recent purchase of a 22" LG TV. Would this be able to be used?
I'd prefer as high a quality picture as possible, but any picture is better than no picture i suppose.
Is this setup possible? If so, how do i go about it? What hardware will i need & then how do i configure?
Thanks
EDIT: Our multiroom setup will be a Sky+ one if that makes any difference?

The easiest way to do this is go to Argos and buy whats called a "tv link" which is only £9.99 at the moment. Once set up you just take your sky remote to bed and the little sensor sits on top of the tele and allows you to change channel. You dont need to pay for multi room but you doo need a coaxial arial from the 9v out plug on your sky box to the tele in your bedroom.
Hope this helps

If you don't want coax running around the house, then you can buy a video senderRemember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0

I bought an All 4 One video sender a few weeks ago in Maplins (£19.99). The AV sender part actually works quite well from my VM box, but the remote sensor is a bit iffy. It only works intermittently, and then it's not so hot at actually matching the button pressed.
I suspect that this is an issue with my VM box (it's been stated that it uses a different wavelength / frequency of IR than other devices, but don't quote me on that) but it is quite annoying to be able to see the channel and not change it!
Also, the staff in Maplins pointed out that a wifi network could interfere with it, which I already knew. Plugged mine in and sure enough there was interference. Turned out it wasn't my wifi, but the Xbox360 power supply. Worth looking out for if you go for this option.0 -
What's the difference between this video sender & Argos' TV Link??
Would the downstairs TV need to be turned ON in order to be able to do this, or could the TV be off downstairs?
What's the picture/sound quality like with this setup? How reliable is it?0 -
I've been looking at these video senders this evening & while i get the jist of their role, i'm clueless as to which would do
I'm seeing a whole range of senders & a whole range of prices to go with them. I wouldn't want to buy cheap & end up with poor quality, just like i wouldn't want to pay over the odds.
Anyone got any recommendations/links to senders? Preferably people who have bought said senders & rate their quality.0 -
I have a cheap video sender, got from ebay, but it's the same as sold in Tescos. It work's fine, occasionally I get a little interferance, but not much. Mine plugs in via the scart sockets and it's great for watching sky in bed.
There is only one annoying thing I have found with the system, which is a user fault. It's that if you take the remote to bed, you have to remember to take it back the the main room in the morning, or when it comes to wanting to watch tv, in my case normally the next evening, I have to go upstairs and retrieve it! Which can be slightly annoying. I am seriously thinking about getting a second remote to remedy the situation.0 -
I have a six way aerial amplifier (with digital bypass) from maplins.
It does exactly what you want to do.
You can run up to six tv's with it.
You can set the sky box on the program you want and then watch that program on any of the tv's that are connected to the amplifier.0
