Contractor insurance

Can anyone recommend a decent place selling simple low cost insurance policy of PL and PI for 1man band LTD company contractors (not IT).

Not sure about contractors but I use Hiscox for both PL and Prof Indemnity.

Engineering (oil and gas). I could not get a quote with Hiscox online would need to call them.

It's a very specialist field, you will need a broker that specialises in the field and has access to the correct Lloyd's markets

The first return would be a good place to start as they are based in Aberdeen

I'm guessing you already know contractors in your industry - if you do, ask them for a broker recommendation.

not everyone i know has insurance, as most people are staff. the few who are contractors (like me) dont have anything (not stated in contract as a requirement) but i may be working for a new firm soon and they said they require contractors to be insured.
Dacouch - i am not working offshore, all my work is office based.
