I would like to know too as I am DESPERATE for a new job, but can find nothing to apply for.

HAYS worked for me, I applied for one on Monday, they called me back Wednesday, signed contract Thurs and started the next week!

Also try university jobshop type places they seem really good at phoning back, and you don't have to have been a student with them.

There is a career fair tomorrow which will include guidance from the Uni I have suggested my housemate go to and get professional advice, but when I explained to him those events are basically networking opportunities to talk to employers get business cards, app forms and that kind of thing, he seemed to loose all interest. Guess I made it sound really pointless!

So worried at this rate he is gonna end up having to default on rent to use his money elsewhere and the letting agent will move someone else in, and I am so fussy who I live with (personality/tidyness wise - I find it hard to get on with people and can be pretty messy)

Saving for a year in Japan.
I need around £10,000. Help me get there!

You can't be that fussy - nothing you've said so far has convinced me this guy would be my perfect flatmate! :D

He should definately try to get some employability skills through something voluntary while he is job seeking. It will show he is willing and it will build his confidence and personal skills in the workplace.
He doesn't sound very motivated though:(
  • Has he thought of going back to University to do a teaching qualification.
From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!
