can't get rid of unwanted programme

Some of the most virulent ad/spy/virus ware is hybrid it starts when IE starts, and forces IE to run scripts to infect/install new programs.
I had a PC with Windows SP1, Symantec (up to date defs), and AVG. Got hit by some adware (about hijacker)
Neither Adware or pestpatrol would shift it.
I'd run them both, they would say clean.
Power down.
Boot fine.
Scan no infections.
Browse with Firefox no problems.
Start IE Bang Virus alerts and spyware galore in a few second. Tracked it done to scripts in the IE cache but could not delete them as I need IE loaded to delete the cache!
The only program to detect this even when Adware and Pestpatrol said the machine was clean was Spyware doctor.
Scanner is free. Then follow instrucitons on other site for removal. Then rerun the free scanners.Seth.0 -
If nothing else works i would suggest downloading Hijack this(as previously mentioned)This will help in removing the little B*****s which reside in your registry. Download the program, open in its own folder(v.important)run a scan and save the log. copy and paste the log on any of the sites below who are expert in removing persistent pests.http://forum.misec.net/board/Trojans/1083505568

Still cannot get rid of this dialler. Have tried everything mentioned and yet it still keeps coming back.
Just deleted it before as I needed to put some personal info online to order something and part way through the transaction it came back (within a matter of a couple of minutes). Can it take any of my bank details?
Can anyone make any further suggestions.
I have ordered broadband but until then any suggestions would be appreciated.
Also once I have broadband will I still get troubled by this? It seems to suddenly change a webpage when I am viewing and then says timed out or cannot find tibsystems.com. It cannot dial any 09 number as I have blocked this with bt.
Thanks0
