virgin train refund

Hi

i bought some tickets on the virgin train site for Newcastle to Newbury Racecourse £94.00 (return)
i am now unable to travel due to work, and i have called virgin to cancell. i was told on the phone as these are non refundable ( wasnt informed while purchasing them that this was the case)

anyhow is there any way i can get my money back for these. they havent even had enough time to take the money from my bank so the transaction hasent even taken place yet,

if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it

The terms and conditions will have been there when you purchased them. You just probably did not notice them.

Have another look. Can you sell them on to friends, (yes, i know youre not supposed to do this but you can try)

hi, i double checked by going through the method of booking a ticket again and i didnt see anything that said these tickets are non refundable (i even used ctrl & f) the only place that it shows was the confirmation email which is pointless as ive had to buy them to find out

Are they Advance Singles booked via this website?

If so, the screen looked like this...



See where it says No refunds?

You will probably find they can be changed to a different date for a £10 fee.
But that's the same route.

If this wan't the website you used, please tell us which one it was.

Which will sell the same ticket, and informs you of the the lack of refunds a later stage before payment.
