Childcare - Glasgow City Council

Not sure this is the correct place for this, please move if in the wrong place. Does anyone know how many weeks you pay childcare for with GCC, is it 43 it says something about this in there Early Years Admission Policy Leaflet- dont know how to do a link to the leaflet.

Here is the link to leaflet, if anyone has a few minutes to read it and tell me if they read it as only paying for 43 wks per year.

My son started with a GCC nursery in April 2010 and my understanding is that you only pay the equivalent of 43 weeks of the year.

It is expected that your child will have breaks due to holidays etc for 5 weeks of the year, plus you then have public holidays and inservice days that you do not pay for.:j

Be warned the invoices are not very clear. I received my invoice the other week and it was from son's start date of April 10 till August 10 :eek:. I have been assured that 4 weekly invoicing will start in August.
