All The Fun Of The Fair - Money Saving

Options
Have just returned from London. Went to see All The Fun of The Fair and would like to pass on a money saving idea. Don't go, it is the shortest show I have ever seen and was terrible. I was so disappointed as I was a big David Essex fan when I was younger and was looking forward to seeing the show.

I totally agree - I posted about this in mid-May as I'd been to see it, having won some tickets.

It was really only just over 1.5 hours long and cheesy in the extreme. The seats were really cramped too.

So would recommend avoiding it if possible.

What a dreadful show! I've been to all the musicals in London and have seen Sister Act 11 times, and Dreamboats & Petticoats 6 times, and I love that feel good feeling that I get from being entertained and having fun.

I love the razzmatazz and glitz of West End shows, but this had as much glitz as a damp squib. The scenery was pathetic, I've seen far better at amateur productions on as tight budget, the choreography was missing - they just walked to the front of the stage, in a line, and then walked back - and the seats were the narrowest I've sat in.

Some of the younger members of the cast had good voices, but weren't given the proper chance to show what they could do.

I can only assume that the takings are spent on the casts' salaries, and on little else.

I've never left a theatre before the end of the show, but 5 minutes into the second half, we gave up.

I used to be such a David Essex fan, not any more.

    xx
