POLICE are appealing for the public’s help following a series of cash card and purse thefts targeting the elderly at stores and supermarkets across Lancashire.

According to the article crooks are observing customers entering their PIN, and then their cards are being nicked.
Note: A Chip & SIGNATURE Card is an alternative for anyone who feels vulnerable or unsafe using a PIN.
Banks don’t volunteer information about Chip & Signature Cards or how to get hold of one. All you have to do is ask. So if you know anyone who may benefit from the ‘personal safety’ of signing rather than using a PIN, please let them know.
The down side is you can’t use ATM’s but you can get cash back with Debit Cards at most Supermarkets these days.
