How long is a piece of string? Depends on where you buy them, how they're fitted, materials they're made of, etc. Think you'll really have to look round.
Don't think there's much difference, really - sliders can come off the rails, but are usually easy to get on again, whereas openers can come off the hinges, but ditto. Would have thought the amount of room you have (for opening doors and standing in front of them and getting stuff out) would be more of an issue.0
