Tesco refund policy on overcharged products?

Could anyone tell me if they have stopped the 'double the difference back' on items that you have been overcharged on. I ask as they have an offer for the match attax cards and starter pack, where if you buy five packs of cards, you get the starter pack half price. I didnt realise til I got home that the offer hadn't gone through, so I went back and was only given £2.49 back, when I asked about the refund, was told they dont do double the difference back anymore. I can't find anything on their website and wondered if anyone knew, Thanks

I was given a double the difference refund in Tesco on bank holiday Monday.
I couldn't see any signs up in Tesco but that's what the customer service guy gave me.0 -
It hasn't stopped, probably just that store trying to keep the amount of money they refund down.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550
