Tesco refund policy on overcharged products?

Could anyone tell me if they have stopped the 'double the difference back' on items that you have been overcharged on. I ask as they have an offer for the match attax cards and starter pack, where if you buy five packs of cards, you get the starter pack half price. I didnt realise til I got home that the offer hadn't gone through, so I went back and was only given £2.49 back, when I asked about the refund, was told they dont do double the difference back anymore. I can't find anything on their website and wondered if anyone knew, Thanks

I was given a double the difference refund in Tesco on bank holiday Monday.

I couldn't see any signs up in Tesco but that's what the customer service guy gave me.

It hasn't stopped, probably just that store trying to keep the amount of money they refund down.
