Best PS3 trade in offer?

I have an original 60GB PS3 with PS2 backward compatability and was looking to trade it in to get the slim either 120GB or 250GB and was wondering where I could get the most money for it. I saw in Game they were offering £150 store credit and other places said they couldn't give estimates unless i brought it in.

Any information would be great:)

Hi there,

Is it because of the size you wish to change or for hard disk space? If its the hard disk then you can put any 2.5 inch sata laptop drive in upto 500gb (I think!) which is really easy to do.

If you still want to sell, why not take a look on ebay and see what others are going for. the original 60gb versions will fetch a little more due to the ps2 compatibility!

It's mainly the size being the reason I want to change. I was thinking of sticking it on eBay I just thought seeing as I was going to buy a new one anyway it may be better to get store credit

You're probably right to go for store credit, you'll probably get more doing that. I take it you're aware that you'll lose the backwards compatibility if you get a new model, this isn't too much of an issue nowadays and I 'spose you could use an old PS2 if you really wanted!

Yeah I dnt reallybplay any ps2 games anymore and they've taken away the other os option so no point keeping it anymore. Also does anyone if the slim ps3 gets the yellow light a much or is it still an issue
