which mobile broadband package

hi there
i am wanting mobile broadband for light surfing between 1 and 3gb, is it best to go pay as you go, if so do all companies have the same policy that the data has 30 days to be used?

or should i go on a contact one ? i would like the option where it would not allow you to go over the usage limit, as i would not want to incur any additional costs , many thanks

If 3 mobile is strong in your area; Obtain a USB modem and unlock it or buy a 3 PAYG modem. Use the initial load. Then you can buy a seperate 3 SIM with 3GB/3 month usage for £8 or 12GB/12 month usage for £35.

Three. Can't beat them. Best price and best coverage especially for the high speed HDSPA. Surfing on Orange Mobile Broadband is like going back to dialup - its so slooooow. Three OTOH, is the same speed at my parents as their 2MB ADSL from Plusnet.

Rather than making sweeping and location-specific statements it might be worth reading this PC Pro article, and the reviews of the individual networks linked to in the table.

Ouch! That's expensive! I am with 3 paying £7.50 for 5gb. I got this plus a new modem stick when I extended for 12 months. I use it once in a blue moon so prob not MSE but cheap and handy when I need it in expensive wi fi hotels etc...
