can i request a bank statement?

Hi ive opened up a neteller account on-line and my account has been locked, I sent in both forms of id which were accepted then, after I deposited with my bank of scotland card it got locked again. After a week of trying to get them, they finally responded saying i had to send in a copy of the statement from the card i used. However its a visa electron card, it not my main account it was 1 i hardly use. I only get statements from it every 3months(maybe 6??) , so i was wondering if anyone knew if I phoned up the bank would they be able to send me out a statement there and then? Thanks for your help

This happened to me as well. Apparently you cannot deposit using a credit card and transfer the money to your bank account. I wanted to do that to get interest free cash, because neteller were not charging any fee for deposits for that period.

Anyway, I then sent them an online statement of my credit card from which I made the deposit and they unblocked the account immediately. So, go to your internet banking and dowload an online statement.

    Hope this helps

Yes. Free of charge if it's an update-to-date statement not covered by your last quarterly statement. £5 if it's a duplicate of statement you've already been sent. If it's the former say you've never received the statement and they should give it to you free of charge.
Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.

my god calm down! I gave my answer, why dont you just shut the hell up and wait until you're out of work and call? to be fair its not the most urgent of urgent enquiries and it could have waited until the end of the day! that is why most banks call centres are open until evening at least
