The console date is the 2009-07-13

When does the 3 year Warrenty start the purchase date or the cosole date

And remember, the warranty ends on 31/05/2013, not on 01/06/2013.

Technically that is correct in the main. But does anyone know exactly how this date is determined by MS?

I ask only as I bought a lightly used 360 from Fleabay (local seller, so emailed him and picked it up. Absolutely mint condition - and still has all the protective plastic across the front ) 2 years ago, and the seller reckoned he had it about 8 months at that stage.

I had to send it off for a RROD repair last week, but it's still within warranty. It got me to thinking about how MS would know the purchase date if the machine isn't registered online.

Anyone work in a store selling 360s who can elaborate?

Usualy it starts from the date of the receipt from the original retail outlet.
