First home: How do I compare gas and electricity rates?
I am about to move out of my parents house into my first home, I am completely baffled how I find out what the best gas and electrcity companies will be. Every single website I go on they ask you to fill out information about your current provider and current usage- but I don't have either of these as this will be my first home ! Can anyone help?

Do you know who the existing suppliers are? Ask the landlord or letting agent or previous owner if they have these details. If not, you'll need to find these details anyway.
Once you have ascertained who the suppliers are, then once you move in and tell them your opening reading, they will put you on their standard tariff, so use this as your benchmark.
And I'm pretty sure the websites will let you put "no details handy" into the system, and ask you what size of property it is, how many people will be living there etc and give you an estimate based on this.Indecision is the key to flexibility0
