Advertised Hotel Air Con not there

As the title suggests, I was recently at a branch of a hotel chain, and the website advertises the hotel as having Air Conditioning. It advertised it when I booked, and it still does today. However the air con units in the rooms were disconnected with a message from the manager saying that they were being removed and there was an alternative heater available.
Is this is violation of an act or false advertising etc? I know it's wrong but don't really know what it would be classed as?

Did you complain at the time?
What are you hoping to get out of this?
Lots of hotels have a/c but actually disconnect it unless it is particularly hot or cold.0 -

I mentioned it, they told me they didn't have control of the website and should report it to Guest Relations. It wasn't just disconnected, it was being removed, completely.
I want to basically prevent others being decieved like I was, on the same level they could easily be advertising mini bars or concierges too to get people in but they aren't providing it, surely that's wrong?Male.

We often go abroad in April to Spain / France etc. And nearly every time the hotel advertises air conditioning, however it's very clear that it isn't actually connected to a proper A/C unit and it just blows warm air around. Presumably because April is not yet "summer".
Only in Madeira this April did we have a hotel with working A/C!0
