Egg Card - Cancellation time frame

Hi,
My Egg card is currently sitting in a credit balance. I've asked egg to close the account; however, they've stated that they need 2 months of zero balance statements before they can close.
Is that right? They're essentially saying wait 60 days then we'll close it.
Cheers,
S

Have you checked your terms and conditions?0

Yes. Can't see anything about requiring 2 statements at a £0 balance.0
-
two months is normal if you have a debit balance because sometimes there is trailing interest which takes two billing cycles to clear
why is it a problem to wait two months?0 -
Why not spend the credit balance, pay it to zero and then close it?0
