Wimbledon Ticket allocation system!

What a joke this is, i entered the public ballot which was a farce in itself and after 5 months i finally get sent a letter saying i've been successful. I requested 2 tickets and they've offered me 1 ticket at a cost of £95. I phone up the ticket office to see if i can be resubmitted to the public ballot in the hope they may offer me a pair of tickets later and they won't let me. Then say i can probably get another ticket but nowhere near the one i have already got. The whole thing is just ridiculous! I can't believe anyone who wishes 2 tickets to wimbledon would be happy to receive just 1 so why do they bother offering singles!
Anyway its just a vent this!

It isnt a farce simply because you didnt get what you wanted.
It would only be a farce if the ballot was inherently flawed.0 -

Well surely it is a farce as allocating people only one ticket when they requested 2 is ridiculous. A much more sensible alternative is to only allocate tickets in pairs if people ask for pairs and singles if people ask for singles. I would prefer to miss out and someone get 2 tickets they wanted than have 2 people who have requested 2 tickets each both be disappointed as they receive 1 each! It lets down more people than it actually helps! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
But equally, if you really wanted to go, then offering one ticket is better than none at all.
That's the nature of the ballot, you put in your request but there's not guarantee you'll get anything at all.0
