Non-dependent children and Housing Benefit deductions

Does anyone know if there is a HB deduction for a non-dependent on an apprenticeship and earning £95 a week, please?

I assumed dd would come into the 'earning under £120 a week' bracket so there would be a deduction of £7 something a week for her.

However, I was told on the phone (by HB) they don't make a deduction for apprentices?

I know she is exempt from Council Tax while an apprentice.

I'll find out when I do provide evidence and they re-process the claim but it would help with forward planning to know now if anyone can tell me. :)

She is 18 btw.
