If I remember rightly BB, if the mother and father are unmarried then he has to be present at the registration of the birth otherwise he is missed off the birth certificate anyway.

I feel sad that my Dads name is not on the birth certificate, instead is the name of a man who played no part in my life from being about age 2.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

It was my Mum's choice Lou. I've had part of a conversation that has been brewing and has never been talked about for 27 years with her (due to me needing a full birth certificate so I had to broach the subject) and she said she chose not to put his name on, even though (somehow and I now don't know how) I know it.

    MRI scan results yesterday.
Spine curved & lots of wear & tear on spine.
Grey areas on brain that indicate why the difficulties with moter function.
So no great surprises so not sure why I feel so unsettled?
    Could cry at anything.

Big hugs Beanie. You've got the results. What are they saying about treatment?

My big plan for the evening is marginally scuppered by getting home from work 2 hours later than anticipated. Have done laundry and am eating healthy tea. Will be Skyping shortly. Just not sure how far I'm going to get with cupboards/drawers plan...

Hugs for you Beannie - Is the curve of the spine new or something that's just getting worse? At least with knowing where the issues are in the brain they can suggest stuff to help...I know that's of no comfort when you get fustrated over what you can't do (I hate watching DH's fustration) If you want a good cry then stop fighting it and let it out - you will feel better for it.

Wish I lived closer and I'd come make you a cup of tea and lend you a shoulder to cry on.

My heart goes out to all those affected by todays shootings too - how dreadful.
