in Credit cards
Hello
I am working really hard to get out of debt and am totally committed to getting out off the bottom rung. I have read Martins book and the site and am sure that if I get savvy, I can reduce the interest I am paying and get clear quicker.
I spoke to a great person at Payplan who assured me that I didn't need to go on a plan to pay these off, especially as I want to apply for a mortgage at some point.
The trouble is, I can't see the wood for the trees and need a hand. Please would anyone be prepared to help me to look at the best way to tackle my credit cards?
I would be eternally grateful. Thanks in advance - Moneyka

No problem.
For each credit card, state the rate you're paying and the outstanding balance. People will then be able to give you some advice.

Barclaycard visa 9,897 @ 15.9%
Barclaycard mastercard 2,204 @ 18.9%
Scottish Widows mastercard 3,315 @ 13.5%
I cannot card tart because i can no longer seem get any new credit
Any ideas? It seems to me the best way is to simply pay off the highest interest first....
Cheers again0 -
Transfer as much as you can to scottish widows card, first from barclaycard mastercard. Ask them for a credit increase and get as much debt there as poss. Try to clear your barclaycard mastercard then cancel it. Keep your barclaycard visa credit limit as low as possible. Ask for it to be reduced if necessary.
Wait a few months then try to apply for another 0% card.
Good luck0
