That theory clearly can't work because with 500th person winning - people won't be entering at a uniform rate of 100 per minute. More people will be entering between .03 to .05 minutes past the hour.

But it evens out over time, as there's probably less than 100 people entering per minute during the first two minutes.

Having said that, today's question was easy, and I'd guess that the 500th place went at 12:03/4 ish.

When you think about it, yesterdays 12pm question was 463rd person, Princess_x's brother won that one and Princess_x entered for him between 12.04 and 12.05.

Yesterday no one knew what prize was coming, and I would imagine that people drop in and out of this competition when they think about it, but it's been advertised that todays prizes are plasmas for a good few days now, so I would imagine that the casual players will make a point of playing today?!

Just my theory, but I think it could be a little earlier today
