Car Leasing. help required
Options
I am in the process of having to lease a car for work. Ithink my company will take out the contract but I will have to do the research. Has anyone got any experience of which are good lease companies, good prices deals etc. Any one with experience of this would save me so much time as I have no idea where to start. Thanks

Most of the big banks have car leasing divisions as for them the primary sale is the finance - not the car. Most manufacturers will also have leasing divisions.0

Far cheaper to go via broker.......tried BMW themselves......but they were £100 a month dearer and wanted a bigger deposit!!!
Using Wessex fleet solutions myself....car due in two weeks...allow 6/7 weeks lead in time though!!

You could visit a few good broker sites as they know how to get the best deal and have access to all the finance houses and dealers around the country. Try https://www.carcontracthireonline.co.uk.

Parisien, has your car slipped backwards then? Back in mid Sep' on another thread you said you were picking getting it the following week, now it appears you still another 2 weeks to wait (mid Oct?)...what happened? There's no reason for BMW leadtimes to slip at the moment, they are building on time.“Official Company Representative

Appleyard Vehicle Contracts are who we use at work. Pretty good all round. Competitive prices, good service, etc.
Would also consider Activa Contracts (Arnold Clark).
Sewell's survey is the industry service survey and will show you how comes out on top. Maybe request this from someone as it will give you a good idea of who stands where. Masterlease won Leasing company of the year 2005 I think, so may be worth looking at.
When comparing prices, make sure you request the same payment profile (ie 1 + 35 means 1 monthly payment, then 35 payments. 3 + 35 would mean a payment worth 3 months up front, then 35 months, but still 36 months rental in total, so you pay more). Also make sure you state whether it's fully maintained or not (if you miss maintenance payments then you'll get recharges at the end). And make sure that a)the mileage for the contract matches your estimated mileage, and b)that they realign your contract with no charge (and check the minimum adjustment that they will do this for).
Also many companies have special offers at certain times of the year, so always worth asking around to see if anyone is holding an extra discount on anything.
Also remember to work out the tax that you'll have to pay on any company car & also the tax on fuel if they are paying for that as well. This can make a big difference.matched betting: £879.63
