Marks & Spencer's Slight of hand??

Options
I'm new here so hello to you all.

I have something to beef about the way Marks & Spencer for no apparent reason reduced the interest rate on their 'Mature TESSA' savings account by 0.25% only weeks before the Bank of England raised interest rates by 0.25%.

Of course they then put the 0.25% back on so guess what they haven't really increased the rate at all!!

Its now back to 4.75% as it was before this slight of hand.

  • A few banks have done this. If you are really unhappy about it, vote with yoru feet and take your business else where (obviously if this is the best interest rate available though, don't cut your nose off to spite your face!)
