Selling Engagement and Wedding rings

Hi there,

I have an engagement and wedding ring which i would like to sell (unfortunately due to break up of my marriage). They are both platinum diamond rings. I was wondering what the best way of selling these would be.

taking them to a local reputable jewellers would be a start..where i live there are many jewellers that sell 2nd hand rings. Dont be conned into these you see on the TV or cash conveters and the likes, you will get peanuts.

My sister sold her rings on ebay and got more than the jeweller was willing to offer, about £200 more (jeweller offered £1800). But she had all the papers to say the metal and stones were genuine etc, she also allowed ppl the chance to view the rings prior to bidding etc

As above said, reputable jewellers is the best option. They don't sound asthough they will be sold for scrap as they are platinum and diamond so have some resale value. Shop around though, dont take the first offer given to you.
