Growl!! BT! Anyone had £36 credit yet?

Hi all,

There was me thinking all sorted with BT, phoned them up, managed to get a cheaper call package and was told a £36.00 credit would be given (lady was typing away in the notes) and I wrote everything down.

I get my bill....and no £36.00. So I phone up, waiting 15 mins, on the line 30 mins (getting annoyed by this point) to a guy that I couldnt understand and didnt at all seem to understand or know what he was doing! He puts me on hold..."I cant see any credit" etc etc, and then.....cuts me off!!

Rant over, sorry had to get that off my chest!

Has anyone else had this credit or knows when it will come? Off the bill or via bank account? As this guy on the line seemed to think via bank account if I have a credit..but then he seemed to know bu**er all!

Thanks!

    Hi

I was given £36 credit, when I was billed it, did not show the £36 credit. So I emailed BT from their contact page on the website. I had an email back telling me that the £36 has been credit to my account now and the present bill will be deducted from the credit.

So when the bill date came nothing was taken out of my account, so seems like I got the credit.

The credit appears on the bill and sometimes is applied to the second bill you get after its agreed.

I was given a £36 credit in january but it didn't show until i got my bill in april.
If you have your account set up online you can have a look on payment history and you should be able to see if it has been added to your balance.

Thanks all for your replies & thanks Stuart, have emailed you.

I guess I was just annoyed as when I first rang I was not happy and after much discussion managed to get a decent deal..only to then end up with a bill with no credit! It was even more annoying to be on hold for 15 minutes and then spend the next 20 minutes with a member of staff who hadnt a clue and then get cut off. Infuritating to say the least. The lady who gave me the deal informed me she had noted everything my account & I could hear her typing away (presuming that was true!) only for the next guy to have no idea what I was talking about.

Hopefully the credit will turn up asap as its much needed. Cheers all

Can't really complain about BT :) they credited my account with £36 in May, this month I got my bill and been given another £36 credit.

I emailed them to notify them that they made a mistake by giving me another £36 credit.

I had a phone call back from BT this morning saying that I have been given a second £36 credit by mistake but they won't be taking it away from me:). They even offered to transfer the £36 credit to my bank, I asked them to leave it on the bill :)

So in total I have been given £72.
