Quick Question - Halifax Reward Account Applications

Hi All,

I'm looking to open 3 Halifax reward accounts (one in my name, one in my partners name, and then one joint account) to take advantage of the free fiver per month.

My question is, should I stagger my applications or can I just go on the website and apply for all three at the same time?

If I need to stagger the applications, should I do the sole applications first and then the joint one or does it not make any difference?

If anyone else has already done this I would be grateful if you could share your experiences.

Also, do they insist on you switching all your direct debits over or can I just get the accounts opened without doing this?

Many thanks,

Jon

No recent experience, but I applied for 3 sole accounts last year in the space of about 10 minutes!

Which is the most important to you?...sole or joint? Do that one first just in case.

Unless they've changed the T&Cs since last year (have you checked/read them?), then switching (either salary or DDs/SOs/BPs) isn't a requirement.

However, are you aware that additional incentives (£25/50) may be available in branch if you apply there and do switch?
