1. Promotion open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, their families, agents and anyone professionally connected with the promotion.

2. To enter, visit Thorntons.co.uk/fathersday fill in and submit the entry form.

3. Only one entry per person. Prizes will be allocated at random, entrants cannot specify which prize they would prefer, however, prizes can be changed at a later date. If the new experience is valued at less than the winning prize, a refund will not be given, if the value is higher, the difference will need to be paid.

4. Closing date for receipt of all entries is midday on Thursday 17th June 2010.

5. Responsibility is not accepted for any entries lost, delayed, incompletely received or damaged or as a result of network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind.

6. No applications from agents, third parties, organized groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. Incomplete or corrupted entries or those not in accordance with the entry instructions will not be accepted.

8. Prize value and information is valid at time of competition launch, and is subject to change.

9. Prizes will be valid for at least ten months from date of issue. The exact expiry date will be printed on the voucher or advised upon successful activation of the voucher. Participation dates must be booked with Red Letter Days or the value of the voucher banked to a Red Letter Days account as credit before this date, or the voucher will cease to be valid. The participation date for an experience can be any available date up until 31 December of the calendar year following the original year of purchase.

10. If an experience needs to be re-scheduled or cancelled, this is usually possible provided at least 14 or 21 days notice is given, depending on the venue. However, cancellation periods do vary and this may mean cancellation will not always be possible, so please check at point of booking. On certain occasions experiences will need to be cancelled, for example poor weather or mechanical breakdown. Red Letter Days will do their best to notify participants as soon as possible and do everything they can to offer an alternative date or time. In these circumstances, Red Letter Days is unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or any other expenses incurred in relation to the cancelled experience. 11. Certain experiences are subject to minimum or maximum requirements for example, age, health, height or weight. Full details are included in all correspondence and should be read carefully.

12. Information provided by Red Letter Days in brochures and gift packs is correct at the time of going to print. However, the content or format of experiences may change slightly during the year. Current details of each experience are available on the website https://www.redletterdays.co.uk. Participation in activities is conditional on acceptance of the experience description detailed in the booking confirmation. These details should be checked carefully upon receipt. Experiences are for one participant unless otherwise stated in the title or the experience details. Images used to illustrate tangible gifts or experiences, particularly those that take place at more than one location, are used as an indication only.

13. Occasionally Red Letter Days may need to withdraw venues featured for reasons beyond their control. Alternative venues will be offered wherever possible, but please note this is likely to be at a different location or with a different supplier. Where locations are stated as ‘UK wide’, locations may be limited in some areas. Each venue has its own terms and conditions (available upon request) and participation is conditional on acceptance of these.

14. Session lengths are approximate, vary from venue to venue and are given simply as an indication of the time spent at the venue. Unless stated otherwise, participants will usually be taking turns with other people and there may be waiting time involved. Itineraries are given as a guide only and the running order of events may change.

15. Some Red Letter Days experiences are dependent on the weather and participants will be advised if they need to call to check the weather before setting out. If an experience is cancelled due to the weather participants can re-book, but all re-booked experiences remain subject to weather conditions.

16. Prizes should be booked as early as possible, preferably at least 28 days in advance or further for peak dates such as weekends or holiday periods. The most recent information on experience date availability can be viewed at https://www.redletterdays.co.uk. Bookings are not confirmed until written confirmation is received. Where specific elements of the experience such as vehicles or celebrities are not available due to mechanical breakdown or illness, Red Letter Days reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions on the day, or cancel the experience at short notice.

17. Red Letter Days offer a Participant Cancellation Guarantee, applicable to all UK-based experiences, free of charge. A re-booking can be made if cancellation is due to the illness, injury or death of the participant or a close relative, if the participant is summoned to witness attendance in court, or for HM Forces duties where this occurs after the minimum cancellation period allowed for the specific experience booked (see the Cancellations section above) has ended. Claims must usually be made in advance, and official countersigned evidence supporting the nature of the claim is required. Visit www.redletterdays.co.uk for further details. Free Personal Accident Insurance is also provided for all UK-based experiences, applicable to all participants aged up to 79 years. Personal injury is covered for £50,000 following death or permanent total disablement. For those under 16, death benefit is restricted to £10,000. Temporary total disablement, which entirely prevents the insured person from engaging in their usual business or occupation, is covered for up to two years at the rate of £150 per week after the first 14 days. Medical expenses are also covered to a maximum of £5,000.

18. Red Letter Days welcome the participation of disabled people in their experiences, although they recognise that certain experiences may present difficulties for those with disabilities. They are committed to ensuring that disabled customers are given every opportunity to participate, and should be informed of any relevant disability at the time of ordering.

20. The first nine entries drawn by an independent adjudicator from all valid entries will apply. The winners will be notified by email within 48hours of the close date.

21. The winners may be required to participate in publicity resulting from the Promotion.

23. Promoter reserves the right to award an alternative prize of equal or greater value should the advertised prize become unavailable due to unforeseeable circumstances.
