Hi people, struggling to get my brain into gear so can people give me their opinion on :-
I Had a gas Meter that read in Imperial Units, BG have had it changed into a Metric units one. I have now had the ¼ gas bill, the units before the change have been charged in Metric Units instead of Imperial units, on that part of the bill am I better or worse off ?
Thanks in anticipation :undecided

You should be neither better or worse off.

A gas unit on your old Imperial meter was approx equal to 31.5kWh and a gas unit on your Metric meter is approx equal to 11.2kWh.

The important factor is the kWH for which you are charged - the number and type of gas units determine how many kWh you use.

Are you saying that the whole quarter ahs been charged in cubic meters, but you were on a 100's of cubic feet meter to mid way through the bill?

Sorry, on re-reading your post I can see the question you are asking.

I take it that you are stating that a number of gas units were used before change of meter and they have been charged as if they were Metric gas units instead of Imperial gas units.

In that case you are better off. If you had used, say, 20 gas units before meter change that should have been converted to approx 630kWh; instead you will have only been charged for approx 224kWh.
