Golden Coast Woolacombe - Sun Holidays!

We've just returned from a weekend away at the Golden Coast, Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park, booked through a local paper (equivalent to the Sun offer).
With extras it cost us £70 for 3 nights, 2 adults one 5 year old. Although we were expecting a caravan we got a dated chalet. It was adequate for our needs. It was very dated and not really very appealling but for the price, OK (and had a bath which the caravans didn't and for me was a definite plus point).
The accommodation was not to our liking but we couldn't fault the facilities on site. The pools were all clean, plenty of other stuff to keep the kids entertained - go-karts (£1 a go), climbing wall, water walkerz, bowling, amusements, bowling, fishing (a bit rubbish for proper anglers apparently), kids entertainment. Brilliant real ale (& cider) pub on site with kids playground, good food and entertainment some nights.
For us the best thing was the bus to the beach - £3.00 per person for the duration of the holiday. It takes you from park to park and down to the beach and my son loved it. If it was busy they would put an extra bus on.
If I could guarantee not getting a rubbish chalet another time I would book again.
All in all ... great for facilities, accommodation not very nice ....

I know a lot of people have commented on here before that their experience of that park was horrible but I've always enjoyed it there and whilst the accomodation is basic, its always been clean.
Glad you had a good time!0
