Yikes, scratch that earlier message, I've just read lower down in this bit of the board - I didn't realise it was unsafe/illegal. How do you safely and legally use your own broadband on the move with a laptop then? I don't like the idea of other people in the road being able to use my broadband and/or read my files. Can…

thanks everyone, I truly had no idea wireless was this scary or complex!

I've copied details of your helpful posts to print off and read when I have a chance so I can make sure I set up everything as best I can to give me some protection - it all sounds a bit like it's written in a foreign language at the mo!
