I suppose not maybe at the end of the reception- maybe near the end.
My friend had suggested the lanterns and fireworks and seems to think I should have something.
Although I am not keen on these- and fireworks are a fortune.

i looked into fireworks and most places charge £1000 +

It's not about what your friend "seems to think", it's about what you and your OH want. Is she offering to pay for the fireworks and lanterns she's suggesting?

mines in a posh hotel,they will let us choose a song then theyl all gather around us on the dance floor and at the song finale theyl throw something in the air which is specific to the song! its free an im just wondering what song to pick
theyve said if its ole blue eyes-new york they could throw his hat up
if its elton john-im stil standing it could be his huge specs
