Hi Tammy,
I would ring them and let them know that you didn't know at the time. That way, you can't be accused of providing incomplete/incorrect information.

From 10 weeks you need to notify the welfare foods for yur milk tokens (you'll get them for your 14 month and the phone number is on the top every month)
Income Support etc just contact them and say you've just found out, they'll ask for proof but when you've seen the midwife you can either use the front sheet of your notes or the form she'll give you for free prescriptions (get it even though you don't need it as it'll for proof of pregnancy) she can also sign the form for milk tokens at the same time0 -
Milk Tokens - I picked up a leaflet in my doctors surgery (you can download it as well) and my Health Visitor signed the form. It just asks for a Health Care Professional to sign to confirm due date and that you have consulted them for care.
I am not sure about IB but I was told could claim it when baby is due/born for 6 weeks only!0 -
That's only if you are claiming on the groups of being pregnant/newly postpartum.
The OP already has a reason to claim (or at least her husband does - I'm not sure which was claiming from the post)0 -
it is a joint claim as i am hes carer and cant work because my husband cant be left on hes own.both me and my husband worked from the age of 15.i was a shop manager till i was 8 months pregnant with my first one.my husband worked till a month ago.benifits are a new thing for us and any help would be most appreciated.0

You will almost certainly get the sure start grant after you are 28 weeks, so be sure to fill out the form in plenty of time.
You may also be entitled to maternity allowance, or if not incapacity benfit for 12 weeks around the birth.
I think you can only apply to have your child benefit and tax credits adjusted once the baby is born and you have registered the birth
Congratulations and good luck!Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0
