Reverse Charge Calls

I accepted a reverse charge call from the USA that were about 25 mins in total and now have received a 'supplementary bill' from BT for £154. this equates to about £6 a minute!
I did attempt to call the payphone back as it normally costs me 1p a minute using justcall, but It wouldn't go through.

Had i known it would have been £6 a minute I would rather have called their mobile.
Should the operator have informed me or the caller of the possible call charges. Who am I to have a rant at BT or the USA service?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The cost of the call is down to the the Telco that set up the call . They bill BT for the call, and BT then bill the number that accepted the incoming call. BT have no control over the charges. If you have a problem with it you need to take it up with the USA service provider.

With reverse charge calls, you should never let the call go beyond taking contact details to ring back!!!!!

It's funny, I took your advice Shadow after accepting another reverse charge call. Only lasted 15 seconds. Came to £28!

It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun
