Getting a refund at River Island 2 days after sale?

Bought an item from there on Sunday (yesterday).
Stupid me, story short, i no longer want said item. Item is exactly as it was in the shop - tagged etc. No marks, no damage etc as i've not worn it, i've just decided i don't particularly want it.
Question is, am i good for a total refund, or may they be within their rights to only give me a credit note/gift voucher etc?
I'm only asking as i'm at work every day now for the next few weeks so wont be able to get in, so it'll be my mum who's taking it back for me. If they'd have to give me a refund, then i don't want her being fobbed off with a gift voucher tale.
Similarly, if they can get away with giving a gift voucher, i don't want her to wrongly make a stand

They do not have to give you anything if the item is not faulty. You will need to check the River Island policy to see what they will do.Gone ... or have I?0

Check the back of your receipt for their refund policy (most stores put it there) but bare in mind, it can be different if it's in the sale. If you paid on your card and your mum takes it back, unless she's got your card, they probably won't refund it.
Best bet is to either check their website for their policy, or ring up the store and ask someone.0 -
Bear in mind, the more pleasant you are to them the more likely they are to be helpful back, particularly useful when you have no legal backing for what you want to achieve.0

Yep, they aren't required to give you anything at all just because you've changed your mind.
Some shops will have their own policy that is nicer than that. Maybe a refund, maybe a credit note/voucher. Most will require a receipt.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
