Deliberately misleading pricing is illegal. Also, I'm not surprised that you checked adverts - an incorrect national press advert would be a nightmare for publicity if you turned down everyone who asked for it at that price.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
Tell that to MFI who found themselves up before the judge on numerous occasions for misleading pricing in the press. We had to check all the pricing right up until the presses began printing at 10pm the night before national press publication.
The test case you showed is POS (point of sale) and not an advertised price printed in the national press.
An advert (even in the national press) is still only an inducement and not a legally binding offer from the seller. The exception being some more wonderful case law Carlill V Carbolic Smoke Ball.

Any examples of this MFI situation you are touting? I agree with Esqui that it is likely the PR issues with incorrect pricing rather than breaching advertising / retailing laws.Thinking critically since 1996....0
