debit card declined

out of interest... if my card was declined today due to lack of funds.. does the store till have my card details? would really apreciate if someone could answer my question?

    When I worked for a retailer and used to pull up back office reports, you can still see the card details on the receipt rolls and audit trails. It would contain the full PAN numnber (16 digit card number)

    About 4 years ago I think. I think they are now obligated to star out all but the last 4 digits, but I'm not massively sure what the current position is.
    I know that TKMaxx lost quite a bit of personal data (45 million) I think, and that did include full card numbers.

  • Well with WorldPay, even if a Customers Transaction does Decline for whatever reason they still appear on the Reports as "Declined" and the reason if possible.
